Компас сломался!
Обычно я всегда знаю с какой стороны север. Не могу объяснить как - знаю и все. Люди, беспомощно крутящиеся на месте выйдя из метро, у меня только жалость вызывали. А сейчас, прилетев в южное полушарие, я первые несколько дней вообще не могла понять где что, теперь ищу север и разворачиваюсь носом в сторону Антарктики (юг!!!). Солнце на востоке заходит. Полная неразбериха... |

В Кейптауне на каждом шагу продается прогрессивный вариант fish & chips, в стандартный набор которого входят шмат рыбы, креветки, кальмары, ну и, понятное дело, картошка. Я наконец'то иденцифицировала рыбу, которая с первого дня показалась мне подозрительно знакомой. Называется этот рыбный деликатес hoek, африкаанское слово, произносится хук, в народе более известный как хек, входивший в рацион каждой советской кошки. |

Finally got a decent photo into the NYMag: http://nymag.com/news/intelligencer/features/29736/
The article was supposed to be an insider tip on retro-hipsters (TM)making themselves comfortable in a Brooklyn social club. Somewhere in editing retro-hipsters morphed into pretentious whippersnappers and the whole thing got title a "Takeover". Now each and every one of the five gentlemen pictured is mortally offended and hates the photo. Oh, well... |
